You can say whatever you want but this reissue madness got a little bit out of hand recently. You get tons of re-releases which no one really needs but from time to time there’s a little nugget of gold. Boots For Dancing.

Born at Scotland’s post-Punk crossroads in 1979, Boots For Dancing kicked down the boundary walls of a played-out scene and introduced the UK to a more funky way of doing Punk.

I’ve never heard that band name before but today I played this double LP compilation The Undisco Kidds and got immediately hooked.

Do yourself a favour and check this band out if you’re into English postpunk and not only because of this John Peel quote “One of the few bands that can make me dance!“.

Say something.
