Batillus’ heavy bastard Concrete Sustain is already a couple of months old but we’re still playing it over and over. In it’s dirtiness  and ugliness this record is a rough gem and catchy as hell.

I guess Manchester’s experimental techno musician Andy Stott thought the same when he heard it and decided to remix Concrete, the first track of the album. The remix will be released as an one-sided 12″ through Modern Love sometime soon but you can already hear it on Pitchfork. Sounds pretty grim and it’s absolutely not danceable.

And speaking of Batillus, a brand new song from them appeared too. Sort of – it’s a cover of Ministry’s Lava. This track comes from a split 7″ that Brutal Panda Records will release soon, the other side of which belongs to Kowloon Walled City covering Godflesh’s Anthem! Listen to Lava here.
