When I discovered Scott & Charlene’s Wedding last year I was instantly in love with their very 90s lo-fi slacker indie. I mean their Para Vista Social Club LP and the split record with Peak Twins is filled with hits, hits, hits. Take for instance Footscray Station, such a addicting and catchy tune. Well, formed in Melbourne and now located in New York they recorded a new album called Any Port In A Storm and is described from their label as a generation’s glimpse of love, home-sickness, basketball, alienation, rock and roll and all things that matter to an expatriate Aussie stranded in New York. Can’t wait to hear it, but first listen to the first track Fakin’ NYC below.
