Okay, I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of Loisville’s Coliseum. Sister Faith, their new album is of course a dirty blent of Noiserock, Hardcore and Punk, but it’s not working for me. Don’t ask me why. Find out by yourself here. Anyway, guitar player Ryan Patterson was asked by self/titled to do a mixtape of his choice and he chose Chicago record label Touch & Go as theme. Wow! And he did very well. Songs by Shellac, The For Carnation, Big Boys, Rodan, June Of 44, Slint, Shipping News, … I guess with this awesome taste and mix I have to give Coliseum another chance. Listen below and read some nice liner notes over here.
