That’s a sampler concept I like. A compilation with covers on Rebetika. Maybe you ask yourself (like me) what’s Rebetika?

Rebetika, a truly underground music created at the beginning of the 20th century in Greece, was, in its preamble form, the music vehicle to express a culture bumbling under a constantly changing society – a culture base on drugs, haunted by poverty.

I have no idea how the originals sound like, but the reinterpretations from artists like Daniel Padden (Volcano The Bear), Steve Gunn, D Charles Speer, Astral Social Club and many more are super interesting and I have to watch out for more stuff like this. Listen to it below and download the whole package for free here.
