Because I missed Michael Chapman’s support show for Wooden Shjips last friday I was very grateful when I heard he’ll play another gig last night. Unfortunately at Berlin’s most inappropriate venue White Trash Fast Food. So, he had to play in front of a chatty and eating audience. Nevertheless, a handful of people came to see him and enjoyed his gig like me. Maybe his newer, more noisy material would have fit better but he played his classic folk and blues tunes for almost 1 1/2 hour. Including some songs from his just recently reissued Plaindealer and a tribute to John Fahey.
