I don’t wanna try to sound smart because I discovered 16’s music just a couple of weeks ago but since then I heard them a lot and like I already told you I really dig their 90s phase, but also the newer records are pretty good. So, we could be thankful, because they found a couple of unreleased tracks in their vaults (or in this case, garages and shoeboxes, who knows?). These three tracks written by 16 more than a decade ago shortly after they recorded Zoloft Smile, perhaps the bleakest statement in the band’s long career. The songs will be released soonish as a 12″ EP and was prepared for vinyl by former White Zombie guitarist J. Yuenger.

Listen to these 3 songs here at Decibel Magazine and read some memory notes from singer Cris Jerue.
