Before The Men were coming to stage last night at West Germany a few clips were played by this dubious new screening platform Network Awesome. Being on a concert and watching Youtube clips (including buffering) is a ridiculous development. Anyway, amongst old and obscure commercials and weird animes NA showed an old clip by British Nintendo gindcore band Trencher. You can think of them what you want, but this video is totally awesome.

  1. I was at that show, and I thought the Network Awesome screening was, well, pretty awesome. Of course, I was already a fan of the website, but still, I thought it was a nice compliment to The Men and a refreshing change for a concert setting. And that Trencher video totally rules.

    • My problem was that the clips were completely out of context but maybe this was the plan. Did you like The Men?

I enjoyed that about it. I assume it was supposed to be surprising and I thought it was a nice alternative to an opening band.

I liked The Men a lot. Really good energy, somewhat retro 90s sound. I talked to the drummer after the show and he was a really nice guy. What did you think?

You’re right. Sometimes opening bands are really a draft. Maybe some more words from the NA guy would helped me.

Yeah, The Men were cool. Good decision to add a second guitar. I’m really looking forward to their new record. Leave Home is still running and running on my record player.

  2. Yeah maybe that would have been better if he had spoken more about what they were showing, could have put the out-of-context in context.

Have to agree on Leave Home and looking forward to the new record.

Say something.
